Gretchen Mol was awesome in this movie. It's funny how there was all this hype surrounding her years ago and nothing ever came of it. The problem is that she came along in the wrong era. If this was the golden age of hollywood she would've been a huge star, watching her in this black and white movie convinced me of that.

Her performance captured the speech, mannerisms, etc of the era. Well studied and very well executed.
