I've just began watching this show and I really like it

when I first heard of the show I thought it was another dumb show about playing cards(what are people thinking these days who the **** watches cartoons about playing cards! Its ridiculous they even have a show called battle beadamon where they play crossfire whose watching these things? seriously can't anime characters fight for themselves anymore!) enough of my ranting

so anyway I caught the show one morning getting ready for school and figured out that it was a paradoy and its kinda grown on me but I was wondering if the games in the show are supposed to make any sense all I've gotten out of it is that there are 5 shields and the players put down cards and say something like "EK" and a shield or two will go away

so is the game real or is it just filler?

It is a real card that is made by Wizards of the Coast the same company that makes the card game Magic: The Gathering.

Game is completely real.

It's also every bit as straightforeward as this show makes it look, though the yelling of appropropriate Japanese words is not required.

Its a real good game you know, best descibtion of how the game is would be.
that to win it takes just as much luck as in poker and just as much strategic scence as in shogon total war and rome total war (pc games)
