IFC and Sundance Channel

Why are these two channels so in love with this movie? Like, really its on alternately almost every day between both stations. What gives?

When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

Does IFC play it? I'll have to look out for that. I have watched all but laat third or so (that I keep missing) on Sundance, but now I sit here, watching a third time to get through the whole thing, and Sundance has censored their films since I last watched it on there. So now I feel like I won't be seeing it all. Why Sundance censors now, I don't know.

On Sundance they edit the car masturbation scene so heavily it's hard to tell why Jane Adams' character is upset.

reply

Exactly. I've seen it uncensored in my last viewing, and watching it this time, I thought, "a new viewer may think it was either worse (such as him touching her) or not as bad as what happened." It's brief, making it much less clear.

reply

Yep. I had seen it years ago with no cuts. The other day I watched it on Sundance Channel and thought if I had not seen the uncut version I would not of got it. And if I remember right the character Larry came on to Brad. They cut that out also. The sad thing is Sundance stretched it out to 3 hours and still cut out key parts.

I see why people like channels like HBO, Showtime and Cinemax.
