Patrick's 'enthusiastic' thrusting in basement/Laundry room scene.

Okay I don't know much about the director who directed this film or if this film barely made an R not an NC-17 but there is but, for sure in the Laundry room scene has got to be one of the most explicit moments of this film , it is an R rated film, and has pretty graphic sexual moments but that particular scene where Brad and Sarah are having sex in the basement/laundry room it starts of with Patrick Wilson reading a part of her journal he sees her they passionately kiss then the camera cuts out to laundry room, and the camera pans across a naked Patrick from behind having rough sex with Kate Winslet's character they have brief dialogue the camera pans out more thrusting then cut to next scene. Now what I wanna know is is it just me I know they had a lot of sexual tension in this film those two characters but did anyone else think that Patrick Wilson , his thrusting in that scene the way he his buttocks very 'enthusiastically' did anyone else think that was a little too 'real' I mean , yes Kate was moaning in that scene and acting sexual but did anyone else think he over acted that scene I mean , there's been more graphic sex in films but the way Patrick was acting was a little too real if you ask me perhaps over acted, borderline pornographic,I mean many actors and actresses do get a little 'enthusiastic' in love scenes like over doing it, even one journalist for Elle magazine asked Patrick about his rather 'enthusiastic' flexing for this film. http://www.elle.com/pop-culture/celebrities/hes-no-angel-286358

I was thinking the exact same thing. How is enthusiastic the same as rough? In no way did that seem rough; enthusiastic? Yes. Rough? Absolutely not.

I knew that scene was coming up because I had seen the film before but I think that laundry scene has to be one of the most explicit in recent years. It was almost like neither one of them had had sex in so long it was a release. If I had been watching that scene with another person I would have had to switch it...way too unsettling for me but really showed their animal instincts for each other. I was thinking that was a body double for Kate but I don't think so.

It didn't creep me out though the way that Ronnie scene in the car did after the date with the woman.

I came here because the film is highly rated but the box office tells another story. I haven't seen this film in its entirety but I do remember a lovemaking scene in the film "Watchmen" and he was enthusiastic there. I was stunned when I saw it. But today, I look at it as why the director wanted it filmed that way. I will say that when I think of the "Watchman" that's the scene I remember.

Male actors who partake in graphic sex scenes like this have to masturbate beforehand. They can get erections during the "act" (even if they're not so into it) and it can be so embarrassing.
