Can anyone tell me, was this film set in 2010 or another time? I had the feeling it was the 70s going by the decor and some of the clothes, but I was sure when Nick visited his friend in the tent that he mentioned his older sister was torturing him with Ashlee Simpsons album? I missed the first 5 mins of the film so apologies if the year was mentioned then!

I don't remember it personally but apparently there was a reference to mobile phones (cellphones) at some point

Steve Buscemi's bimmer was manufactured between '99-'04. does that car looked to you like she was from the 70's ?
