Best and Worst Parts of the Movie

The best part of this movie was Francois Dillinger. The idea of Michael Cera playing a badass was both intriguing and hilarious to me, which is why I rented the movie in the first place. I don't know how he did it, but Cera actually does a nice job with this character, something that I initially thought was impossible hahaha

&&& the worst part of this movie was the handful of useless characters and loose ends. I think overall this movie would have been more popular if it somehow gave the secondary characters some purpose and interesting endings... Zach Galifianakis doesn't deserve to be killed off screen from a lame death and without having made anyone laugh once. He is the most extreme case of this sloppy writing however, I found myself wondering why the director even bothered casting half the actors.

Does anyone else agree?

How am I funny?

I just look at the whole movie as unpredictable, part of that had to do with the many smaller roles in the movie. I'm reading the book right now and it is more than a handful. I have to hold it with two hands and, when in bed, it is a pain. I have a better understanding as to why Nick wrote "God's perfect *beep*" on the side of Jerry's trailer. I can't wait to read the rest to see what the movie missed.

Best part was the beginning with the sailors. Worst part was the incredibly craptastic ending.

When Francois set the cafe on fire with the trailer, I kept rewinding that.

I don't know why but when Francois is eating breakfast after making a scene about his moms sex habits he just get up pops his ciggarette in the bowl and says "thanks for breakfast" and slaps it over. For some reason that had me rollin. Their were tons of scenes that had me laughin though.

No one liked the thanksgiving scene? Jesus I was dying, giving those type of people mushrooms was one of the funniest things I've seen

I never saw any of the secondary characters as useless. They all added their own dynamic to the narrative making Nick's world all the more difficult for him in his quest to be with Sheeni.
