Lena and Kostas

Am I the only one, who are really annoyed because they changed their storyline?

In the book, Kostas gets a crush on Lena when he sees her, and even though Lenas family wants her to date him, Lena don't want to. Her family try to change her mind, and keep talking about how much they all love Kostas.

In the movie, Lena also gets a crush on Kostas when she sees him, and she wants to date him. But her family wont allow that, since they don't like him or his family. So she sees him, without the family knowing it.

I really don't understand why they had to change it in the movie, then they easily could have made it the same. It really annoys me, and made me hate the movie!!

I agree. The forbidden love storyline was way too cliched. It basically was Romeo and Juliet without the dying.

Same here. I loved their storyline in the book and they should've shown their "secret place".

I don't like the change either! The only reason I can justify it is that she can blame her being afraid of loving Kostas on her grandparents disapproval. But still, I don't think they needed to change it. I still love the movie though.

The FAQ's explain why they did this.
