A better question is what kind of parent isn't worried when their daughter, who normally doesn't do this kind of thing, runs off because she's upset? What kind of parent just doesn't go looking for her and has supper with his "other" family like nothing happened. She was a teenager. He was the adult supposedly. I put more fault in his behavior and the behavior of his fiance. Obviously you have no idea what it's like to feel like the black sheep in the family, and then to have her own father just completely disregard her like that...I would be pissed off too.

Yeah, you would think he'd at least wonder where his daughter was in the middle of the night. He knew she was upset and ran off and his response was to sit around the dinner table with his new family and laugh it up like his daughter didn't exist. Is it any wonder she felt unwanted?
