sorry I literally turned on the tv like 30 mins towards the end of this movie and I was wondering are tibby and bailey sisters? and what was wrong with bailey, why was she in hospital?
shareTibby and Bailey's relationship is very complex in both the books and the movie. Tibby meets Bailey on her first day of work at Walman's when Bailey passes out in the store. In the book, Tibby rides to the hospital with Bailey and then goes to visit her at her house to take her wallet back. It is then that Tibby is told by Bailey's mom that Bailey has leukemia. In the movie, the pants get delivered to Bailey's house instead of Tibby's and it's not until later in the movie that Tibby finds out Bailey is sick. Either way, Bailey kind of attaches herself to Tibby, and Tibby pretends she's annoyed by it, but she really isn't because she's lonely without her friends and she ends up really liking Bailey. Tibby spends a lot more time with Bailey in the hospital in the book before she dies. Bailey has leukemia, but she actually dies of an infection as a result of the leukemia.
Fun Fact~ The author Ann Brashares based Tibby and Bailey's story on the movie It's a Wonderful Life, and Bailey is supposed to seem more angelic than human.
Yeah its really sad and they totally cut out her part from book 2 in movie 2 because they were being cheapos

I love Bailey, both in the book and in the movie. Ann wrote her so well and I am glad that she was portrayed so well in the movie.

A few days later the pants are delivered to Bailey by mistake and she brings them to Tibby's house. She ends up helping Tibby on her video stuff. Tibby dies due to the leukeimia but not before removing the lens cap on Tibby's heart.
