Same here! Loved it, and I'm way old! Why does it have such a low rating on IMDB? Not violent or filthy enough, I guess.

I'm 35 yrs. old and I thought I wouldn't like it because I figured it was for teenaged girls, being that Bow Wow was the star, but I was truly surprised at how good it was. It was refreshing to see a movie that was good without sex or violence added. It actually made me laugh out loud, and believe me, I usually don't find many movies that funny enough.

I thought this was a feel good movie with lots of great jokes and a damn good soundtrack. I do not understand the low rating for this.

Definitely a guilty pleasure movie for me. I saw this in the theaters when it came out and still catch the occasional cable rerun .

26 year old guy here in Australia, with an afro... hahaha.

Totally loved this movie! It's a feel-good movie, with nostalgic touches, an awesome soundtrack, and great/fun acting.

Never go by what IMDB says. There are people on here who will bash a movie without ever seeing it. Plus I think there is a lot of racial tension on this site with several of its members.

In any case, I liked it. I still have it on DVD. I would watch it again.
