Underrated Movie

This movie came out at the wrong time and was overlooked largely due to the success of the Decent, but I would argue that there are many superior aspects to The Cave. For one I think the creatures are better. It's far more complex than the 'Orcs' from the Decent which seemed kind of out of place and without a very good explanation. I liked how the creatures in The Cave have a spiritual root / religious history being associated with demons. That was cool. Also the underwater cave sequences are unbelievable. They really went above and beyond with their locations and underwater filming. On top of all that it's a well cast film, the actors all do a great job especially Cole Hauser. He's such an interesting character in how he deals with the parasite infection. I wish it was a little more violent, wish it could have been R rated, and it needed a stronger ending, but all things considered this is a monster movie gem that not enough people have experienced.
