If you like horror movies with a little thought behind them, this is a good Saturday night rent.

In my opinion 4.8 is possibly even too high.
The dialogues are so awful you want to bite your own head off.
There are plotholes all over the place, for example when Kathryn puts the sample under the microscope it is clearly visible that it is a static and dead sample. Then the viewer gets to look through the scope and suddenly some bacteria are moving around.
Apart from the typical hollywood'esque attitude in acting, the visuals are quite good.I liked that they used a read monster model and not just cgi.
The plot is very similar to "The Descent" which came out 2005 aswell, quite a year for spelunkers ;)
Overall a very blunt, yet mildly entertaining movie.
It is not THAT bad of a movie, hello, what about BUG, Trolls 2, Twilight, Bad Moon, there are way worse films than this out and some of them are popular (*cough*Twilight*cough). This film had a good cast and a pretty cool plot.
