What a heart breaker. It's like someone else wrote the script and picked the cast. The new New York lawyers are annoying. The prosecuting attorney is horrible. The wackadoodie peeping Tom is annoying and horrible. Alan Shore's character turns wimpy and insecure. Denny Crane is pitiful.
Currently on episode 5. Someone please tell me it gets better. Season 1&2 were brilliant.
I disagree, I quite liked season 3. The characters were still entertaining and the storylines interesting.
To be honest I think this show got worse with each season, but the first three were still very good.
The show really did begin to fall apart in season 4 though, some good episodes but for the most part the final two seasons were mediocore at best. You definetly have the best of the series behind you, sorry just my opinion!
I disagree with what you said. I actually think the got better as the seasons went on. The first two seasons had so many pointless characters, and even season 3 had a bit of that. I'm not saying season 4 and 5 didn't have any of that, but they really gathered up a solid cast for the most part. It also helped that the comedy started to come full swing in the last two seasons, when the first 3 felt like the drama was first with humor here an there.

I agree that Alan seemed to loose his edge after the first 2 or 3 seasons.The early Alan was rather unscrupulous and had much more of a dark side. Then they turned him into a somewhat younger,liberal version of Denny and it wasnt the same.
