way too much jerry espenson

it is annoying how he took over the show in last couple of seasons, and how they got rid of brad and denise in favor of this guy.

also annoying how his tics and crazy austism should have been focus of one episode and not whole show. was davey e kelley being payed off by the national austism council or something? the show really became a very special episode

pretty terrble too how he would always act sad and they would always play that stupid 'sad' music with him

I agree with the OP, yes way too too much. Im so annoyed with how he always get himself into stupid situations and simply comes to Alan and acts sad. The show got rid of many great characters and yet somehow this annoying guy seem to appear in almost all episodes

When the character was first introduced the whole storyline of his eccentric behaviour being diagnosed as Asperger's Syndrome was extremely well done but as with so many things in BL they couldn't leave well alone. Once he began working for CP&S Espenson became a "comic" character with his footstamping, whistling, etc.; just there to give viewers a chance to enjoy some broad humour.

I do agree that there was too much Jerry later on in the show. But I also applaud the show for bringing aspergers syndrome out of the proverbial closet, and showing that someone with the disease can be successful.

Please do not attack me for my opinions...we're all entitled to them. :)

He was always a legal eagle, his issues just got in the way of him being able to take advantage of that in a public forum. That's where his friend Alan helped him to branch out and be more functional in the courtroom.

His character was awesome and the actor playing him did a wonderful job.

Think about this show and how stupid a lot of the characters acted including Alan and Denny especially, this character fit the mold of the show where nobody was normal, but most were brilliant.

Couldn't agree more, he was really annoying. In the last two seasons he took up way too much time!!

Any chance that was a typo? Jerry SAVED the show, and there wasn't enough of him. Excellent lawyer.

I liked Brad.. more than Koho.. and they had some fun rivalry.. but once the fight left Brad over his fights with alan. I did like the actor.. but they just slowly gave him less and less to do. I liked jerry. Although i admit some of his arcs were a bit over the top. As for brad.. when coulson left.. it was for the best both made the exit.

I can admit though BL did seem to run through a rather surprisingly large supporting cast that came and went. Some less well defined.. and some maybe just never got all that interesting. The show really played the strengths and the chemstry between shore, schmidt and crane. One regret i have was the lessening of Paul Lewiston whose heavy became less and less necessary.. although Auberjenois did carry some of the heaviest plot lines.
