I never watched the Finale back when the show was on live. I missed a lot of episodes back then. Last night, I completed watching the entire series all the way through, and I just loved the finale! So much so that I'm going to go watch it again right now!

Alan is just about the best guy in the world. I love him so much. The part of the show when he is fighting against the injunction to stop them from getting married was AWESOME! I loved everything he had to say, and how he said it. And I do not even support same-sex marriage. But I love love loved it.

I'm going to miss this show. A lot. :'(

I started watching Boston Legal recently from DVDs from my library. My question is. Did they know it was the series final when it was the end of season 5?

That was my impression. It's been awhile since I saw it, and I only saw it the once, but it didn't seem abrupt. And if I remember correctly from when it was airing live, I think I remember them saying through at the last second part of the season that it was the last year.

Oh, they knew it was the end. Subtle seeds were being planted through Season 5 and every prior season finale since 2's was treated like the end anyway, Boston Legal had a very clear end. Denny Crane~!
