Jeffery Coho A Wasted Character?

I just finished episode 15 of S3 and I'm baffled that Coho left.

He didn't do anything of note after the big murder trial except bang Denise off screen.

I'm guessing the only reason he was written off the show is because they couldn't find anything for him to do.

I dont know if this is true but I read he was introduced when James Spader was stalling renewing his contract holding out for more money. They introduced Coho as a kind of replacement for Alan to show Spader he wasnt as essential as he thought he was and when Spader resigned they had no use for Jeffrey Coho and wrote him off..

Interesting, I didn't know that.

Either way, the show wouldn't have survived the season if Spader left, his amazing speeches are the best part.

I would have loved to have seen more of him in the courtroom. He was interesting to watch; his cheek towards judge and opposing council, the risks he took for his clients, and just his general charm.

It's a shame he only lasted less than a full season.

Nooooooo he wasn't. . .obviously a lot of people liked his character including me. All of the characters in the series are a little bit wacko, but Coho was the least offensive.
