Anyone else find it depresing watching Season 2?
I get the chills whenever I see Garrett on screen, shocking to think that Justin Mentell is dead now. :(

shareI didn't know he was dead until you said it. It's very sad to know that it could have been avoided.
shareDidn't know he was dead :-(. RIP.
Also, CBS Drama in UK has only shown S1-S2 (now repeating S1). Would like to watch S3 onwards but ...
When I heard the news, I was just starting Season 2. It's a shame he was just one of the revolving-door "bit" characters.

His only weapon ... 600 horses of fuel-injected vengeance.
I was upset how underutilized he and Ryan Michelle Bath's characters were. She wasn't shown as much as he was, so I wasn't really able to get a good gage on her character, but I really enjoyed the character of Garrett. I know the reason they gave for getting rid of the characters was that they ran their course, but that's a load of B.S. I think it was just David E. Kelly being lazy.

I suppose their introduction was just a means to draw the younger viewers but they failed to do it and weren't popular enough, so David E. Kelley got rid of them as fast as he could. He probably wasn't too fond of the characters in the first place.
sharewhattt?, crap now i feel bad i'm watching season 2 now and kept lol because he looks like a kid ,could not take him seriously as a lawyer althought they did explain he was a first year associate, fresh out of law school!
that's too bad he was cute and his character was smart!
he was a lot better than hoping jerry
I'm taking my talents to South Beach.
The premature death of a human being is always sad, but I don't think his character was any loss to the show.
My only reason for being depressed is that Season 2 is so much inferior to Season 1, which was amazing. Too often the story lines cross the line between zany and amusing and intriguing on the one hand, and zany and so ridiculous as to be annoying on the other. For instance:
Catherine turning into some elderly Bonnie Parker
Alan giving the homeless guy Denny shot $75,000. He makes $380,000 a year before tax, for God's sake! No way would he give away 1/4 or 1/3 of his annual income
The idiocy about the nearly dead cat
Edit: And - having just seen the last episode I have to add this - a slapstick scene which even had the Loony Tunes music!
How sad!!!! I really liked his character and his acting. Only 27??
