When I get all 50 scarabs.....

....i'm playing the game through for a second time with a determination to get all the scarabs. I'm on chapter 14 just now - I know there's 2 here and one halfway up the tower in the next chapter. My question is this: to get the Classic Gaiden game, MUST I take that 50th scarab from halfway up the tower back to she shop? If I finish the game with it in my posession would that not be enough?

Thanks

You must get all 50 to him.

I'm always right.

Wow. Getting down that tower is going to be a pain - I've tried it before. Any tips?

You're having trouble with the ghost pirannas? Try using your dihabro or flias untill you've gotten your inazuma ninpo up and repeat.

I'm always right.

When I first tried it it was from the save point at the top of the tower and I gave up trying to go back to the shop. This time doing it from the third level was pretty easy - I Ninpo'd my way through them. I really hate those fish.

Completed it with the 50 scarabs and the old game. I must say, it's a bit of an anticlimax! Great game though, glad I played it through twice.

Those ghost can be a pain, but they can also deliver you much, very much essence. TYhere's are a couple of ways to get rid of them easily but the way i handled those fish wa like this:

- Vigoorian Flails
- Art of the Inazuma or Fire wheels

Now when you tap X over and over again you will perform a fast technique wih the flails wich makes you invulnerable, but at a moment the attack gets a bit slower and that gives the ghost fish a chance at biting you. What you need to do is learn just when the attack gets slower. Just before the attack gets slower you jump away and right when you land you press Y+B for a good Inazuma!
Or you could just tap X again... Repeat this and you'll get your way through those fish easily.

I ended up using fire ninpo to get back down. Firewheels would've made better sense actually, should've tried that.

I never use Ninpo on the fish, it's just not worth it. The easiest (and probably funnest) way to beat them, for me, is to use the Lvl. 2 Vigoorian Flail.

Just waltz into a group of them and use the Cremator move. Finish it off with a "Y" tap after about 17 hits, and repeat.

Also works really well on the giant worm bosses. Whenever they do their lunge-type attack, roll out of the way and use the Cremator. Knocks off a good bit of health.
