so basically the movie is crap and the director blames everyone except herself. ok cool.

No, she had completed the film and then the studio fired her and edited the s h i t out of her cut and removed major plot elements. What was left is what exists today on DVD copies. Studios do that s h i t all the time. I'd love to see her original cut. Fortunately, she learned her lesson and had complete creative control over her latest film, The Invitation, which is excellent.
