Loved this movie

This movie flew way below my radar when it came out in 2007 and only discovered it through flicking through channels on a Saturday evening; wow, great story and great acting.

I typically can't stand Ryan Philippe but found him rather decent in this.

Chris Cooper makes a great double-face *beep* that you sorta-kinda feel sorry for despite what his character has done throughout the years.

Laura Linney was awesome as ever, what a great actress.

I'm genuinely sorry I didn't see it earlier.

I totally agree. It's very intelligent, interesting, and well made. You might consider getting a copy of the DVD because the commentary is interesting as well as the outtakes.

Chris Cooper MADE this movie. He's one of the most brilliant actors in the business. Even though he is not a handsome guy, he is one of those who just gives me goose bumps watching his brilliance in developing a character. I'll never forget the first movie I saw him in, Lone Star. Brilliant! I cannot see anyone else portraying Hanssen in this movie.

Matthew McConaughey was good in Lone Star, also.

Kris K, Frances McDormand's "5 minute Oscar-worthy" appearance, everyone was great! I just saw Elizabeth Pena on "Major Crimes", and she was fantastic! One of my favorite movies to watch again and again. Loved CC's leaving the bar line about Buddy Deeds!

I'm a big fan of espionage movies & this is one of the best i've seen so far. It's a shame more ppl don't know about it becuz it's not only a great story but it also features some of the finest performances by Cooper, Linney & Phillipe that I've seen yet. Also great seeing veterans like Dennis Haysbert & Gary Cole in supporting roles.

I was noticing the other day how several of my favorites are Arlington Road, Lord of War, JFK, Absolute Power, and Breach. Rattling those off probably makes me sound like a conspiracy nut. Pretty interesting though since I'm not constantly reading Brad Meltzer, Tom Clancy, or Robert Ludlum.
