Eric O' Neill let mankind and himself down over his nosy girlfriend.

Granted, Eric was entitled to do whatever he wanted with his own life. But it is my belief that, assuming that he would have made a great agent, he should have immediately dumped his nosy girlfriend who wanted to know his where-abouts and business. Men with extraordinary skills or minds should not seek the approval from women when doing what would be an extraordinary leap for mankind and make everybody's lives easier. Besides this, this is clearly what Eric wanted, at least in the movie, to be a good agent. But he chickened out, because his girlfriend "would not get used to it" like he said at the end. Well, so what?
It's said that "behind every successful man, there is a woman". Well, most of the time, there isn't one, and when there is, it is usually not the significant other. It is mostly guys working together as a team, and of course, maybe some women, but hardly ever, the significant other.
Another great mind who almost let mankind down and himself was Charles Darwin. Why? Because his great writing on "The Origin of the Species" almost did not make publication because this man was also seeking the approval from his wife who was clearly a religious nut, and she was having second thoughts about it, since his writing did not go well with her religious beliefs.
This country, like other western ones, is just too feminized. So, if you have great skills or a great mind, please don't be like them. Do society a favor and move society forward. No need to seek the approval from someone else, especially if they are under-educated.
Anyway, I liked the movie a lot.

13 years old? I'm just guessing. I'm willing to go as high as 17.

"I'd never ask you to trust me. It's the cry of a guilty soul."

lol. Very nice.

Yeah, seriously, your post makes no sense. All I'm getting from it is that you have something against women. And it's not a boner. Unless, of course, you're telling a woman she's fat or she's keeping some man from being brilliant. Then, yeah, you probably have a boner.

This popular household product could be slowly killing you. Tune in at 11 to find out what it is.

She was his wife, and Eric was a Catholic. Plus he loved her.

Besides, he didn't quit for her. I think the whole "spying on your boss/friend thing left a bad taste in his mouth.

Spot on.

I think he made an excellent decision. His wife seemed level-headed and good to him and that's a lot to just throw away on any career. Any career.

Wow. Misogynist much?

I wouldn't blame him too much. It sounds like he's gay and doesn't know it.

Ah, here's one part of that ill-conceived closeted macho rant that actually made sense. Thanks... I will, in fact, continue to live my "feminized" life and not take heed of this babble.
