I'm confused about the plot, can someone help me?

I'm really confused about the plot. The summerary on here says that Finn and his mother go to live with Finn's father, which I think is Mr. Osborne. Maya and Bryce are Mr. Osborne's grandchildren, right? If that's true then that would make Finn the uncle of Maya and Bryce. From what I've heard Maya is Finn's "love intrest". That would be illegal and wrong seeing as though Finn is her uncle. So can someone please help me with the whole plot to the movie.

I hope I didn't confuse anyone with my post, and I apologize if I sound like a complete idiot, but seriously the plot is confusing me.

ok i've read the book nd in the book (not positve bout the movie though) finn nd his mother live in new york finn gets caught buying crack 4 his mother so him nd his mother go to live w/ mr.osbourne 1 of his mother's "patients" (shes a moussuse or however u spell it) nd all im saying is maya nd finn "hook up" nd bryce is a "weird" kid..(trying not 2 give 2 much away) i really hope they make the movie like the book cuz i swear hollywood better not *beep* this great story up by changing it around
