shareok so how R is this movie? I really want to see it because Diane Lane is like one of my FAVORITE actresses...so i really want to see it.. but i doubt my parents would let me see it if it's really violent...i'm 15 so i'm not like super off 17..lol...but still they have to take me to see it..so if someone could give a brief description of why it's R that would be much appreciated!

shareWell I saw the movie at the Tribeca Film Festival this past spring...I can't exactly remember why it is R...I don't even think I knew it was R back then because I dont' think they gave ratings to the movies. But I think language probably had to do with it...I don't remember seeing any nudity, and there's maybe like a scene or 2 of violence I think. I don't think this is a movie that you have to worry about your parents telling you you can't see unless they are highly against language because I think that's really all there is to the R rating. It's such a great movie though. I forget who asked about the acting but the acting was fantastic all around.
shareThe violence in the movie is of a very dark, mature brand. I don't think I would want a 15-year old to see it. I thought it was a wonderful movie but I did find it disturbing and somewhat upsetting. I don't think the language and nudity are what got it an R rating.
