Anyone read the book and seen the movie?

I read this book several years ago and LOVED it. I have passed it on to friends who have also loved it, so of course we were all excited about the movie coming out. Did anyone see the movie at Tribeca and read the book, and if so, how true was the film to the book? There are a lot of disturbing moments/themes throughout and I am wondering how they depicted them on screen. Thanks.

The first half of the movie (up to the point where Finn gets attacked)is more or less true to the book but it's all downhill from then .. unfortunately. The book is too complex for the screen I guess.
