'Fierce People' in Entertainment Weekly

The Fall Movie Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly (Special Double Issue #949/950, August 24, 2007) features "All The Buzz On 120 New Films!" on the cover.

There is a blurb on Fierce People (page 52).

I'd scan it but personally recommend getting the magazine.

when was this film actually made? they said they reviewed it in 2004 so it was made in 2003?

"We're just blowing through naptime, aren't we?"

No, Fierce People was not filmed in 2003. It was filmed in April 2004 and had it's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in April 2005. It was also shown at the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival and at the 2006 Woodstock Film Festival.

It was scheduled to be released in the U.S. in April 2006 but Lions Gate had a change of plans and decided not to. It was released in several countries overseas in 2006 though and also on DVD in Europe.

Oh yeah, Entertainment Weekly did not write that they reviewed Fierce People in August 2004. They wrote that, "We first previewed this film in August 2004."

Anyway, I'm just glad that it's finally getting released and hope that it will expand beyond the initial ten cities (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco & Washington, DC) that it is scheduled to open in, because I ain't traveling from Miami to Atlanta just to see it!
