'Fierce People' wins 5 Poppies + Roses Awards

The 2007 Poppies and Rosies Awards are out and Fierce People has won 5 awards including:

Poppies:

Anton Yelchin for Best Juvenile Performance
Most Pleasant Surprise

Roses:

Anton Yelchin for Best Actor
Donald Sutherland for Best Supporting Actor
The turning point of the film for The "I Did NOT See That Coming!" Award

The film also made TC Kirkham's (Poppies) and Kim Brown's (Roses) Best Movies of the Year.

So that's like what, one award for each city Fierce People played in?

Thanks for posting that info, Larry. Had to laugh when I read at that website you linked to that Donald O'Connor won Best Supporting Actor in Fierce People. Obviously they meant Donald Sutherland as you wrote. Donald O'Connor wasn't even in the film! Boy you'd think they could get their names straight.

As expected, Fierce People never did open in my neck of the woods. Sure hope that the DVD gets released on February 5th as ComingSoon.net reports.

Have notified them of the gaffe. Good catch. Although it would have added another element with some dancing. How about a Fierce People musical? Oh, that's been done. It's called Southland Tales. :))
