shareSo, what are the extras??? Guess I'll click on the Amazon logo up top & see if I can find out there.
Btw, while you were correct that the release day is this coming Tuesday, I'm afraid you got the date wrong. The Fierce People DVD shall be released on Tuesday, February 5th.
haha there we go. 5th sounds right. I hope I'm not disappointed, I'm looking forward to this film.
shareWhy? This movie sucks donkey balls. And NO, I'm not some troll - I'm a script writing filmmaker myself, and this movie goes completely of the rails at the end. The last 35 minutes of pic is absolute drudgery.
The third act has nothing to do with the story arc the first two thirds are setting up. If they wanted to do a dark "be careful what you wish for" story they should have started that story at the beginning of the film, not an hour and 25 minutes in.
My producers and I were actually thinking of hiring Griffin Dunne to direct a new piece for us - Thank god we saw this drivel first.
Anal rape is not a plot device. DUH!
interesting. what are some movies you would recommend watching instead of Fierce People cleothalum?
shareAgreed. This movie is a total mess. And I *wanted* to like it. *shrug*
p.s. The extras are a featurette with interviews, 3 deleted scenes and a director's commentary. I'm a commentary junkie, but I can't imagine listening to Dunne on this one.
For what it's worth, Dunne didn't write it. He bought the rights to the book and directed the movie. If you didn't like the story blame the author, not the director. True, he could have made a completely different movie than the book but that wasn't the deal. It's not fair to call him a bad director because you didn't like the story. And to say that you're a producer who was considering hiring him but will not now, if it's true, is not something you post on a public message board.

The world moves for love. It kneels before it in awe.
Woah. I'm simply a viewer entitled to an opinion. I didn't like the writing (Wittenborn) OR the directing (Dunne).
shareMy post was not directed at you. It was a response to this, as I indicated when I said "And to say that you're a producer who was considering hiring him but will not now, if it's true, is not something you post on a public message board."
