Question about a scene..... spoiler
What was going on and what was the significance of the finger painting eachother's body scene? I thought it was a good scene but I'm a little confused.

um they were going to have sex...
I have to say, Kristen Stewart was REALLY hot in that scene...too bad she was 15 when it was shot...
FYI, Fierce People was filmed in April, 2004. Kristen Stewart had just turned fourteen, not fifteen.
Also, if you had been paying attention to the film, you would know that they were not going to have sex in that scene. They weren't going to have sex until Maya (Kristen) told Finn (Anton Yelchin) that she was going to have sex with him later that night when he's about to take off in the balloon race with Maya's Grandfather (Donald Sutherland). This occurs later in the film. Of course, that never happens as Finn gets attacked as he's heading to Maya's.

I thought they were going to, but were interrupted by the rock through the window.
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!
Well they saw Finn's father's video about the tribal people and the rituals involved and I suppose Maya just thought that her and Finn would do something along the same lines. The painting of each other's bodies could be seen as more sensual. Just an experience, I'm sure.

^Not sure what the song was/is called, but I heard David Gilmour from Pink Floyd played the solo.
