What happened to the release on this movie?!

To start with, great movie. Donald Sutherland was excellent, so was Anton Yelchin, and the small parts were very well cast. I even liked Kristen Stewart in it. Who knew. But anyways, this movie grossed $85,000. Total. Wtf? Where did it go? Its got big name actors and an obviously well funded shoot, why did I never even hear about it until finding it here on IMDB after looking up Anton from Charlie Bartlett(another good film). Anyone out there have any idea why this movie ended up practically going straight to DVD? I would have expected at least hearing about a limited release or something...

Oh and to chime in, there seem to be several posters who really didn't like this film. Judging by the language of their posts, id guess they are young-middle aged males with, shall we say, security issues. Just because a certain scene makes u feel uncomfortable doesn't mean you should trash a good production.

This movie would've seriously benefitted from a wider release. Extremely well made--one of my favorites. Glad my parents came across it on Netflix, otherwise I probably never would've seen it.

Wow. Yeah I have no Idea why this had such a limited release. The movie was great with great acting (everyone was awesome) Who knows maybe it was the subject matter that made it kind of hard to market. Great movie though I'm glad I came accross it on tv.

Completely agree. It was a beautifully produced movie, great acting, and yet I only discovered it because of my Netflix subscription. Someone in the studio execs needs to wake up b/c I truly enjoyed this movie.

I went to Forks and all I got was this lousy imprint...
