I feel silly but why did maya tattoo "fin" on herself? I couldn't exactly figure out why she did it. I know it means "the end" .

I thought she was trying to tattoo Finn's name but didn't finish it.

She passed out before she could finish it.

I took it as she cut herself out of pain from seeing him being with the maid girl. Though she could have done it before that happened out of love or whatever. But her saying it meant, "the end" made it seem as though not getting to the last "n" and it reading "fin" was significant because now their relationship was over.
