Most disturbing scenes in cinema?

For some reason, I was profoundly unsettled by the stroke scene. I think it was the combination of the way Amalric acted out the stroke and the fact that it happened while he was driving his son in the car.

Did the horror of that scene stay with you as well? What other moments in cinema have had a similar effect on you?

I don't think that scene was disturbing, but it was really well acted. The most disturbing scene in any movie I've ever seen is the face removal scene in Eyes Without A Face.

I yawned throughout Funny Games U.S

I LOL-ed throughout Inside, Martyrs, Eden Lake, A Serbian Film, Irreversible, Salo, and High Tension.

But that one scene almost forced me to puke.

I haven't seen this film since I saw it in the cinema, but I do recall a stoke scene that he had inside a car. If this is the one you are referring to, then I completely agree.

Well, I have to laugh at myself now, because I'd completely forgotten that scene in Eyes Without a Face -- until you reminded me.

Um....

You LOL'd through Irreversible?

*backs away slowly*....

reply

Yeah, because the violence was laughable.

And I LOL-ed so hard when I realized those morons got the wrong guy.

I thought the scene where his right eyelid was sewn shut was the most difficult to watch
