Cop's partner
What happened to the young cops partner....why didn't he come in when there were shots fired?
shareHe wasn't in the car. We're to assume the cop is off duty and just eager (As we have seen) to get in on the "take".

Not sure about that. I got the sense that he wasn't a very bright cop. Over-eager, but kinda naive. Perhaps he thought that, since Bill's car was in the parking lot, everything was fine. He didn't want to make Bill angry with him. Which is also why, when he saw Bill in there with a gun in his hand, he didn't pull his gun and shout "FREEZE!"
A cop who is eager to please but still smart would go in, with his gun drawn, but kept at his side. But again, I think his naivete got the better of him.
