A Great Line (SPOILERS)

Delivered, impeccably with each and every word hit just right by reliable Billy Bob Thornton, to John Cusack, about Thornton's newly dead and rather heavyset wife with a bullet hole through her forehead:

"He actually threatened to shoot Gladys if I did't tell him where the money was. But I think he was counting on a level of commitment and affection between her and me that just simply wasn't there. "

That's worth the price of the rental right there.

Yes, and I forgot to mention that as Thornton reaches the end of it -- "that just simply wasn't there" -- he starts LAUGHING, but just a little bit, even with his dead wife nearby.

Tough little black comedy.

That's the part of the delivery that makes it so great!

You are right on the money there ecarle. That line was that of a complete sociopath, and it was hilarious. In real life, it would be highly disturbing, but considering this is a dark comedy, it worked perfectly.
