Maybe it's just the Cusak character and he 'wins' in the end, but it just 'clicked' with me for some reason.
I think it just may be that hhe finally figures everything out at the end, and the bad guys lose.
Anyway, a very well acted film, IMHO.
it did with me too. i saw it in theatres and the person i saw it with, wasn't very fond it of and i wanted to see it again before making a final ruling... after many months i found it in a store and bought it on a whim.. i popped it in the player at about 4AM one night (dont ask why so late) and stayed up to watch it through -- and yeah it just went, or clicked or you say... good movie.
shareI can't really explain why I like it so much, but I do. Once you start playing the dvd, you just have to watch it through to the end. I guess it's good writing and flawless story telling. It certainly isn't empathy for the characters.
