Yes, 'The Ice Harvest" by Scott Phillips. Read the opening credits of the film when you see it and you'll see that credit.
Fine book, and nice quick read. A few interesting side/sub plots not in the film, etc. Well worth getting.
Yes, it is based on a book. Just read the book too. Fan of the movie but the book is better.
