is it just me...?

or was there a certain "love that dare not speak it's name" vibe coming from Pete and Charlie?
was their common wife bad enough to make both men consider other options?
or did she just have bad luck with men?

it just seemed to me that those two had more of a bond than marrying the same woman, esp as they were both getting away from her and the town the way they did.

Yeah. Just you.

Agreed.

I don't think that was the case. In a movie filled with characters who are completely self motivated and untrustworthy to all others, Pete and Charlie had an element of trust working for them.

The fact that Pete confessed to the affair shows he had some level of remorse. Which proves he did care about Charlie. Who else gave a damn about Charlie?

His little daughter did.
