The last scene in the desert

Of course, who on this world can resist good old american dollar?
They probably have never seen a dollar or civilization their whole life. But when those desert nomads see a batch of dollars Nic Cage has hidden as a bribe in those papers, they're immediately convinced and ok.

Funny.

I'm pretty sure others have paid off the border guards before.

Why wouldn't they understand money? They weren't being paid in goats you know.

You should read some economics and understand the reach of the dollar...at least now when the majority of its kind is on foreign ground.

You would have been funny, if that wasn't so extremely ignorant.

True, in those parts of the world, euros would be more useful than US dollars. But US dollars are probably THE single most wellknown currency in the entire world.

And just because they are soldiers at a checkpoint or bordercontrol in Africa, you think they "have never seen a dollar or civilization their whole life". Seriously, how ignorant can you get? You're not SERIOUS about this statement, are you?

And it's not a matter of being CONVINCED. It's a matter of taking a bribe and moving on. I could have told you about experience I have from a similar situation that would show that this would be a completely convincing scene. But I can't be bothered to.
