Imagine if they had stopped in some other restaurant instead. It was lucky for a lot of innocent people that they stopped in at Tom's! Their villainous exploits ended there. Not so lucky for Tom, though.

I agree that it's a great film. Raw. Tight. Tense. Clever. And very, very satisfying.

Not hard to imagine Peckinpah directing the identical script back in 1972.

Can't imagine it being any better, though.

God how I miss good, unpretentious crime movies like this one.

Is anyone still making them??
