Please, Premium Cable Already!

What's the hold-up? Some films process through dvd, to PPV, to Premium in a just a few months... But some of the "cable ready" classics take a few years. I just don't understand the distribution model here... Any hint on when we can expect this on HBO, Showtime, Cinemax or Starz?

Guess the Canadian market is being handled differently; as yet, there's no hint of a deal for showing DOA with an American premium channel.
