I think the movie showed promise, a sequel isn't a horrible idea as long as the movie is better than the first.

Dude, did you look at when the post was made? November 2006. The movie flopped majorly in the U.S. box office and there hasn't been any talk of a sequel since. Chances are really good that there won't be a sequel.

just before the movie was released the makers said if its succesfull there will be sequals it wasnt a sucess so no more will be made

Well, I know that the guy who posted that list is just some "whoever", but, most those are true to happen or have already happened, and, that list was from back in 2006. Now, some of the titles are wrong, but, it's common sense that the mean the same thing. Like Casino Royale 2, I'm sure it just meant another Bond film, which is happening. And, Rambo: The Serpent's Eye, obviously just the Rambo that came out. So, I wouldn't call names Gladiator.

Don't say it want be anymore Dead or alive. It may not be soon but if you look at movies for example Batman and Superman.
Batman & Robin sucked and that was 1997 and 8 years later Christopher Nolan makes a new way to look at Batman by making "Batman Begins and The dark knight" and are maybe even making a third batmanmovie. It was a success.
Superman 4 was also horrible and that was 1987 and 19 years later they are making another Superman if you don't count the series "Lois and Clark: the new adventure of Superman and Smalville". Superman was maybe not that good as I hopped but they are know making the sequal who is called "Superman: Man of steel" who will be done 2011.
You should never say it want be anymore "dead or alive" when there is directors out there who want's to direct a DOA-movie and show there way to look at a movie.
How horrible it is there is allways coming back sequals or prequals or reboots, stronger then before.
also, feast, another weinstein flm, has a sequel coming DTV, why not a DOA sequel?
