Rays of light in this horrible movie?
This was so cheesy and awful that it made me curious just how bad it could continue to get, so I opted to let it play out. It was almost as bad as I expected, but the one thing I did like was the father-daughter relationship.
I wasn't expecting them to be pitted against each other, but when they are and the dad busts into the room and sees his daughter in bed with another woman he's basically like, "Whoa, hey, I'm happy for you! We can totes do this tomorrow morning." Then the next day when he's ready for the match and again finds her hanging with a different woman, "Oops, did I come at a bad time again?"
It seems like the cliché is to portray fathers as being critical of their daughters' romantic lives and/or partners. So as ridiculous as this film was, it was nice to see a father instead being supportive and butting out when he thought he might be intruding on private moments.
