Movie was going great and then something wrong happened

So i was totally into the movie till Leslie dies and Jess is crying while his father holds him, after that the movie looses the grip, Jess and others were like not acting from their hearts, they were just doing it to get rid of it, like they have to do it so let's just do it and finish it as asap,

End was also like okay okay ... I believe that was exactly according to the novel but it was not classy like the whole movie unless Leslie dies,

I'm not entirely sure which part you disliked, either after the Jess crying thing or after she dies, but at least you were able to enjoy the first hour and 15ish minutes or so of the movie.

I loved the movie on whole, i just felt that after Leslie dies and Jess is running in jungle and then he cries while his father hugs him after that scene movie kind of loses the grip,

Maybe I'm wrong, I just felt that.

Surprisingly great movie, OK Leslie dies, but why? For that cheesy ending? Come on!!!

Jess and Leslie should have just slayed monsters together and figure their little lives out for the rest of the movie.
