That ending was so disturbing to me. It messed my day up.. Leslie died :(

That's great, but until you give me that humpback whale you promised me, I'm really not interested.

In traditional Viking funerals, the body is burned as well as being cast adrift. So this is a little off the mark.

In the book, at the wake Leslie's parents actually specify that she's been cremated.
