Is the ICE CREAM scene in remake?

I didn't see the remake yet (and somehow I think I wont) but I was wondering if they keep Ice Cream scene in this one?

And what's up with Serbo-Croatin language? Was it used in the movie?

Not exactly, but there is a similar scene with one of the main characters who gets unexpectedly shot in the head. The director said it was a homage to the ice cream scene in the original in the audio commentary.

And yes, Serbian was used in the beginning of the movie. I actually understood every word, to my surprise.
