I really cant rate or praise this series high enough. It is absolutely fantastic, gripping, mesmerising, shocking and wholesome viewing.

I have been hooked from start to finish to the extent i would watch one episode then the follow on, on BBC3 (when switched to BBC2) then watch the BBC3 follow on again on BBC 2 the week after.

What a compelling drama with fantastic direction and a great cast who all gave a first rate performance. On top of that there is the characters, every day and flawed thrown into a high pressurised and confrontational environment where good and bad is distorted because its all about whose face fits.

It is one of those series that only has short life span but it has to be aid that there is so much, i feel, that is unresolved. So it is fantastic that a final feature length episode is planned.

They had planned to release dvds of the two series but have kept putting them back. Maybe they will be released to co incide with the feature length episode!

Series 2 is currently being shown on BBC Prime (cable).

It is shocking and depressing, but terrifyingly watchable!

My reaction to the surgery scenes is always, 'ugh how disgusting, glad that's not me!'

During the really critical scenes, I feel myself tensing up!!!

Just as well I've never wanted kids - this series could you put you right off childbirth!

I saw Bodies Series 1, a couple of months ago on Australian Pay TV - Foxtel, and currently the ABC is airing it on Tues nights. I love this show, I find it to be brilliant drama, & Re affirms my view on Doctors. I agree with previous post - who'd have babies! I'm glad I never had a compulsion to want babies. I will also buy the DVD when it's released.

Definitely one of the best dramas british tv has produced in the last few years.

What I further like about it that it often shows grim reality. I am fed up with people seeing childbirth through rose-tinted glasses. For some people it is complicated, painful and even life-threatening, something that is not always emphasised. Having babies is NOT a walk in the park!

The abortion scene I found particularly grim - but it is reality. These things are usually swept under the carpet.
