A good film, lots of fun, but lets face it: It's a complete rip-off of "Mean Machine" ( http://imdb.to/bL0Js0 ). Even most of the lines/actions are stolen straight from the first remake. I knew I should be enjoying this more than I did, but could not believe how much had been copied from the other (& in my view better) film.

I watched this film a fair few times before watching the original Longest Yard and I could tell when lines were coming from the original before they did.
No way is this remake more like Mean Machine than the original Longest Yard. No way.

I prefer mean machine but that's probably because am English I can relate more to mean machine and for me it was a comedy and a serious movie at same time unlike longest yard that is just a comedy.
