Basically there was no 'Longest Yard'

In the original, the Mean Machine were down by more than 3 points and had to go for a touchdown from the 1 yard line. They had first and goal and couldn't get it in on the first 3 tries. Then on 4th down, Paul Crewe huddles the team, gives them the passion pep talk and they go for it on 4th down. Slo mo play with Crewe running to one end of the field, reversing, going back the other way and finally punching it in for the win. Hence the longest yard. BUT in this remake, they score a TD, now down 1. So they go for the 2pt conversion and the win. HERE'S THE PROBLEM: the 2 pt conversion is snapped from the 2 yard line! How does the writer, director, producer and the studio miss this????
