The scene where the men and women bath in the spring bothers me. It is a HUGE taboo in Japan for men and women who are not family members to be naked together in such a situation. No self-respecting Geisha would ever agree to such a thing.

In the books, it's noted that yes, here or there someone might jokingly pinch a butt, or a breast may slip and become visible, but it's the same with any geisha party. Maybe not a nip slip, but a butt pinching isn't unheard of.
