I absolutely loved it!
It's much much better then the Sharon Stone's one I once saw.
Patrick Swayze was really great Quotermaine and Alison Doody was very good too, but frankly, they are not the reason I loved it so much. What really got me hooked was the charming characters of McNaab and Ivan,the cutest russian ever.
I really love the chemistry between those too, they really seemed like brothers at the end.
You've got to be kidding. I watched it this weekend and found myself amazed at the sheer number of clichés they packed into one movie. I mean, sheesh, they meshed every conceivable hackneyed action, phrase and gesture into this plodding cheese fest. It was literally bursting with all things bad. At best, it illustrates everything one shouldn't do when making a film. Swayze needs some serious help for going along with this pathetic program.

shareI DVRd this for no particular reason and sat through it mainly out of boredom. Yes, much of it seemed generic and cliché, (though the original novel was indeed original).
But I have to say the character and performance of Sidede Onyulo as Umbopa was awesomely beautiful.
And the movie did have it's moments; like when Quatermain is being led out by the people to fight. The music was beautiful with great choreography. I was surprised because it had me salivating again for an Widescreen HD.
