Sickening animal torture and death

I find most things funny but what is with this show and killing animals.

Examples:

• Cat is gruesomely hit by a car and struggling for life the entire episode until He's beaten to death by Steve for scratching him in the face.

• Rabbit is killed by Steve hitting him with his face from a moving car, turtle drags half it's carcass to the finish line.

• Francine drowns a little bird after singing a song with it to cook it for Roger.

• Cock fight and gruesome death of baby chicks and grown roosters when Steve gets a job sorting chicks.

Are these things funny to other people because they make me feel sick.

You realize that this is an animated cartoon show, right? They take these little drawings and move them really fast to simulate movement. No ACTUAL animals were employed, caged, fed or beaten in the making of the show. Probably very few living trees were used to make any PAPER to make this show.

MOST people would not find any pleasure, AT ALL, in watching an ACTUAL VIDEO of an animal suffering. But adults (or "grown-ups") have the ability to comprehend a joke or a sight gag. "Grown-ups" are able to tell the difference between actual suffering and comedy.

And not everybody is in 6th grade, and has posters of unicorns and rainbows on the wall.

So what about when they do the same *beep* to people? Is it okay to murder and torture humans but not other animals? Or does it not really matter either way because it's a freaking cartoon?

Those things are part of real life except maybe the rabbit. The French eat ordalan exactly how Roger had Francine prepare it. Chickens and chicks are killed and culled for food every day. Cock fights are a popular endeavor in Hispanic culture. Cats getting hit by cars is sad but better to not suffer and be put out of it's misery. The show just frames these events in a humorous manner. Much more humorous than real life which is the point really...
